Information We Collect
When you use Your Name in Chinese, we may collect:
- Names you submit that are not yet in our collection, to help us decide what to add
- Feedback you send, its category, the page path and your optional contact email
- Network information processed by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the service
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide name translation services
- Improve our website and user experience
- Understand usage patterns and trends
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
Data Storage
Searches for names already in our collection are handled by the website without sending a search report. When a submitted name is missing, we save it in Cloudflare D1 and include it in a summary for the site owner. We do not record names while you type.
To limit duplicate reports and abuse, the backend processes your IP address and derives a keyed identifier that changes each UTC day. Raw IP addresses are not saved in our feedback database. People sharing a network may be counted together.
Feedback is saved in Cloudflare D1 and emailed to the site owner using Cloudflare Email Service. Providing an email address is optional; we use it only to respond to your feedback. Please do not include sensitive information. Page query strings and fragments are not included in feedback reports.
Database records and notification jobs are automatically removed after 90 days by a scheduled cleanup. Copies delivered to the owner’s inbox may remain until deleted there. You can request deletion through the Feedback form. We do not create user accounts.
Appearance Preference
If you choose a display theme, this website stores that preference in your browser’s local storage. It is used to remember System, Light or Dark mode across visits. You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser data.
Third-Party Services
Cloudflare processes submissions, stores records and delivers notifications. Google Fonts provides fonts, and the stroke-order feature loads character data from a third-party CDN. These providers process requests according to their own privacy policies.

You have the right to:
- Access information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of certain data collection
